L’album “one man band”, ovvero chitarra acustica, voce e loopstation, una modalità in cui Cris si era già presentato in versione live, moltissime volte nei precedenti dieci anni.
BLACK è un disco acustico al 99%.
Fanno eccezione quei brani che vedono l’amichevole partecipazione di colleghi musicisti di grosso spessore, come Marco Di Maggio (Di Maggio Connection), Iacopo Meille (Tygers Of Pan Tang), Francesco Bottai (Articolo 31 e Irene Grandi Band) e il fratello Marzio.
BLACK è registrato quasi esclusivamente con chitarre acustiche, bassi acustici e ancora chitarre acustiche usate in modo percussivo ed ovviamente le voce.
Un disco semplicemente Rock quello che non muore mai, ma cambia solo di forma.
Come recita la traccia finale: ”If rock is dead, we are a Zombie Attack!”
